The golden thread,
maintained.
Clear, traceable and accessible information across every fire stopping install, supporting safer buildings and accountable installation processes.
Live QA, not
retro-fitted records.
The golden thread is only meaningful if the records behind it are accurate, timely and tied to the building. Documentation assembled at handover from memory or guesswork doesn't serve the building over its lifecycle.
Our approach captures the record at the point of install. Every seal is logged against its location, photographed, tied to the tested detail and the product batch, and signed off by the installer, in OneTrace, in real time.
Six deliverables.
Location-based records
Every install plotted against floor plans: a clear, traceable position for every seal, barrier and door.
Installation photographs
Photographic evidence captured at install time, tied to the location record. No retro-fitted documentation.
Product traceability
Product data sheets, batch numbers and tested-detail references linked to every installation entry.
Inspection records
Structured QA inspections recorded against each work area, surfacing exceptions before handover.
Structured O&M information
Operation and maintenance information delivered in a structured, accessible format the client can actually use.
Handover support
Direct engagement with the client team through the handover window: questions answered, gaps closed.
Built on the OneTrace QA platform.
We use OneTrace as our live QA system, capturing location-based records, installation photographs, product traceability and inspection evidence in real time, then handing it over as structured information the client team can navigate.
Five steps,
end to end.
Assessment
Early engagement on drawings and design intent: clashes, access constraints and product gaps surfaced before they cost time.
Install
Tested and approved installation details, installed by trained operatives in line with the manufacturer's tested systems.
QA capture
Live capture in OneTrace (location, photographs, product data, installer), recorded at install time, not retro-fitted.
Inspection
Structured QA inspections against each work area surface exceptions early and feed into the compliance record.
Handover & O&M
Structured O&M documentation handed to the client team, accessible, accurate and ready for the building's lifecycle.
